"What is the chance of having coronary artery disease? My dad and grandpa both have it. Grandpa passed at age 63 after having 3 quadruple bypasses. I am 34 and have a sister 31; we both are and try to continue to stay physically fit. Lately, upon exertion with exercise I have pain under my left breast. It would be very unusual for you at age 34 to develop coronary artery disease. Even if you were a smoker who never exercised and also happened to be a diabetic. While pain in the area under the left breast is often associated with heart problems, it can also be simple anxiety, muscle tension or strain.
